In 2024 / 2025, we ran a Crowdfunder  campaign which raised more than £27,000 to surface Phase 2 of our route, which runs from Great Elm to Elliots lane, Hapsford. Find out more by visiting our Crowdfunder page.

Fundraising

We raise money throughout the year, with events like the annual ceilidh and stalls at the Independent Market.

Where your money goes

Every section of path we create is carefully designed and built to current construction standards. Sometimes this means paying for professional services and construction teams. We keep costs down by getting work done by our volunteers as much as possible, and our trustees are not paid.

Grant funding

We make use of grant funding wherever possible. This usually applies when we have a specific project to do – such as a new section of path or some signage. In between, we rely on regular donations to keep on top of any day to day costs (such as insurance, materials for maintenance work, etc).

• £800 from the pedal powered cinema run by Sustainable Frome23 people donated £100 or more and 121 people bought bricks as part of the ‘Pave the Way’ campaign

• Many volunteers generously donate their time and skills week after week to push the project forward
